1. Who these terms cover

Entendu is provided by Phothor LLC (“we”, “us”), a limited liability company registered in Delaware, United States. These terms cover our website and the recording, transcription, notes and question-answering services available through Entendu. By using the service, you agree to these terms. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement; if you act for an organisation, you must have its permission.

For the iOS application, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement governs the licence to the app. These terms describe our service and purchase conditions; they do not replace Apple’s agreement or reduce your mandatory consumer rights.

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Keep your account access secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorised use.

2. Recording responsibly

Before recording, uploading or sharing a conversation, obtain any notices, permissions and consent required by the law that applies to you and the participants. A microphone permission on your device does not establish another person’s consent.

Only upload material you are entitled to use. Respect confidentiality, workplace rules and other people’s privacy. Do not use Entendu for unlawful surveillance or to capture conversations you are not authorised to record.

3. Your content & AI results

You retain your rights in the recordings, notes and other material you provide. You give us permission to store, process and transmit that material as needed to provide the features you use, including through the service providers described in our Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Transcripts, speaker labels, summaries and Ask answers are generated automatically and can contain errors, omissions or incorrect attributions. Check important results against the original recording and sources before relying on or sharing them. Entendu does not provide professional medical, legal or financial advice.

When you export or share content, the recipient receives a copy that may be outside our control. Consider everyone’s permissions before sharing.

4. Subscriptions & credits

The App Store purchase screen shows the price, currency, billing interval and included allowance before you confirm. Apple processes payment through your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple’s subscription settings.

Annual billing, monthly credits.

An annual plan is paid upfront for a year. Its credit allowance replenishes monthly; it is not issued as one annual balance.

Personal includes 3,000 credits each month, Pro 9,000, and Max 18,000. Unused subscription credits do not roll over. One-time top-ups add 1,000 or 3,000 credits; purchased top-up credits do not expire and remain available after a subscription ends.

Processed audio uses 10 credits per minute, calculated proportionally for partial minutes. A completed Ask answer uses 1 credit. A whole-number balance shown in the app may represent a more precise underlying balance. The app explains when the balance is below one credit.

Credits are service allowances, not money. They cannot be transferred between accounts or redeemed for cash except where required by law. Refunded or reversed purchases may have their associated allowance removed.

Recording locally, keeping saved audio and reading existing content do not require a positive credit balance. Without credits, new transcription, live transcription and Ask are unavailable until you add credits through a subscription or top-up. Audio may still be saved to your account without transcription; you can request transcription later.

Audio credits are deducted after final transcription and speaker processing finish. Processing accepted while you had credits can finish even if other accepted work uses the remaining balance. Any resulting courtesy usage is not billed as a separate overage or deducted from a later purchase. Failed or cancelled Ask requests that do not produce a completed answer are not charged as completed answers.

Apple determines when plan changes take effect and shows the applicable charge. An upgrade adjusts the allowance for the applicable period, taking account of credits already used; it does not promise an additional untouched monthly balance. A downgrade normally takes effect at renewal. Any billing grace period is temporary and depends on Apple’s subscription status.

5. Cancellation & refunds

Manage or cancel a subscription in your device’s Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewal; access normally continues until the paid period ends. Deleting the app or requesting account deletion does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

You can request deletion of your Entendu account from Settings in the app. Account deletion removes your account and associated personal content, subject to the retention exceptions explained in our Privacy Policy. Export anything you want to keep before deleting your account. Contact us if you need help with a deletion request.

For an Apple-billed refund, use Apple’s refund request service. Eligibility depends on Apple’s process and applicable law. Contact us about missing credits or service problems. These terms do not exclude any refund, withdrawal or other remedy you are entitled to by law.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to infringe someone’s rights, distribute unlawful content, impersonate others, compromise security, bypass purchase controls or interfere with other users. Do not access accounts or content without permission.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, legal requirements or a material breach of these terms. Where practicable, we will explain the restriction and how to contact us about it. Urgent security or legal situations may require action first.

7. Availability & changes

Online features depend on connectivity and the availability of our service and its providers. Local recording also depends on device permissions, available storage and your device working correctly. Keep a separate copy of material you cannot afford to lose.

We may improve or change the service. Material changes to these terms or paid features will be communicated as required by law. Subscription price changes are handled through Apple’s applicable notification and consent process. A change does not remove rights that have already accrued to you.

8. Your rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. In particular, statutory rights concerning service quality, refunds and remedies remain available. Apple’s app licence contains additional terms concerning the licensed application.

If you have a dispute, contact us with the details so we can try to resolve it. You retain the right to use any court, regulator or dispute-resolution procedure available under applicable law. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where lawful.
